Although I have read this scripture many times before, it wasn't until the other day that the Holy Spirit revealed its relevance to a former situation I was in. I've shared my testimony before but in case you haven't heard it you can watch the video at the bottom of my "About" page. I explained how I was in an abusive relationship a little over 5 years ago, but what I don't get to share in that video is something that happened at the end of that relationship.... Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, "Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." (John 5:14 KJV)

The Lamb is an interesting animal and important symbol in Christianity. If you look up the characteristics of sheep you find out why God often uses them to illustrate believers. A minister & friend of mine taught on Psalm 23-"The Lord is my Shepherd", in our home bible study group a few years ago, and it was an excellent teaching because he brought out various attributes on how like people, sheep are stubborn, have "crowd-mentality", are defenseless, and prone to stray, among other things. That definitely sounds like people LOL! We laughed through that entire message.... |
