The Lamb is an interesting animal and important symbol in Christianity. If you look up the characteristics of sheep you find out why God often uses them to illustrate believers. A minister & friend of mine taught on Psalm 23-"The Lord is my Shepherd", in our home bible study group a few years ago, and it was an excellent teaching because he brought out various attributes on how like people, sheep are stubborn, have "crowd-mentality", are defenseless, and prone to stray, among other things. That definitely sounds like people LOL! We laughed through that entire message....

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” -- Joshua 1:19
God speaks to Joshua after Moses's death, letting him know that He had chosen him to lead the children of Israel now that they had finally made it to the Promised Land. He let Joshua know that every place he tread upon - from the Mediterranean, to Euphrates, and even into the wilderness of Lebanon was his. |
